Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"We found this coffee while walking in Lyon. It is fee steps from place Antonin Poncet. It has a very nice retro style."
"Nice place and a friendly owner. The price of a coffee is 2 euros because it supports social activities. It is not the fanciest place but I valued the welcoming atmosphere and the good good coffee. The place looks traditional and has a variety of biers and coffees that make your discussions with friends alive and nice. A piece of Lyons history. Fully reccomended!"
"Had shared lunch Burrata and Salad was delicious...service was great would recommend it"
"Je suis passé lors de la fête des lumières. J’ai apprécié le cadre. Nous avons passés un très bon moment avec mes amis. Le service était au top, sourire et disponibilité. nous avons mangé quelques petites choses et c’était relativement bon. Nous y retournerons sans soucis."
"I spent a few hours a day here over a summer, writing a novel - I ended up in Lyon because Paris was too expensive, and I can't say I felt the city lacked anything. I only drank little espressos - France is expensive, and the cafe is no exception. But I liked the feel of the place, with its marble-topped tables and red leather seating."
"A delicious lunch of quenelle and salad lyonnaise. One very charming and helpful waitress serving a full restaurant. The atmosphere is very dated, but it deserves more than the 3.8 rating."
"Very friendly cafe/bar. You wdnt think of entering it loox so ordinary. But you are in for a surprise. Staff are super friendly, and we had a ravioli with leeks which would rival any in the more chic places. It came with a fresh salad. Delicious!"
"Walked in wanting a Beef Tartare at 4 in the afternoon, crazy time for France's meal times! Owner was very nice, spoke English straight away, and did served me what I was looking for!! The meal was perfect! tasty, enough, authentic! Had a glass of wine with it, again, perfect! will come back when in town again!!"
